Anyone else having trouble getting lab chemicals lately?
Seriously, anyone else experiencing major delays and shortages when it comes to lab chemicals? We're running into issues getting even basic stuff, like ethanol and some common buffers, which is completely halting some of our experiments. It's not just one supplier either - it seems to be across the board. We’ve started ordering well in advance, but even that isn’t always enough. This is really impacting productivity in the lab and making it tough to meet deadlines. Any tips on how to navigate this situation would be very welcome!

You're definitely not alone; supply chain issues are hitting everyone hard. I've started sourcing from multiple suppliers to try and mitigate the risk of delays with one particular vendor. We've ordered a few of our routine chemicals from them, and they've been relatively reliable so far. Their prices are reasonable, and the shipping times have been acceptable. Someone in our department was working on lysosome structure and managed to source a pretty obscure chemical compound from them, which was a lifesaver for their project. I'd definitely recommend checking them out to see if they have what you need.
