Cardio Equipment
​Our wellness center is fully equipped with a variety of cardio machines, including treadmills, ellipticals, rowers, and bikes. Whether you're training for endurance or just getting your steps in, there's something for every fitness level.

Childwatch
Enjoy your workout while we care for your little ones. Childwatch is free for household members, available for up to 2 hours per day and 10 hours per week, giving you peace of mind while you focus on your health.

Chronic Disease Management Programs
Our programs empower you to take control of your health through guided support. Offerings include Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring, Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery and referral-based Exercise is Medicine® and Strong Kids RX.

Exercise is Medicine®
​This physician-referred program connects patients to personalized fitness plans at the Y to improve overall health and manage chronic conditions. Participants receive guided support from wellness staff to build sustainable, healthy habits.

​Our strength training area includes a wide range of free weights, resistance machines, benches, racks, and functional equipment. Whether you're just starting or building serious strength, you'll find the tools you need to succeed.

Group Fitness Classes

InBody Fitness Analyzer
​Go beyond the scale with the InBody Analyzer, which provides a detailed breakdown of your body composition—muscle mass, fat percentage, and more. It’s a great tool for tracking progress and tailoring your fitness plan.

Locker Rooms
Lockers are available for day use while you work out, or you can rent one long-term, making trips to the Y a little easier.
Outdoor Fitness Pad
​Take your workout outdoors on our fitness pad, perfect for classes like yoga or bodyweight training when the weather allows. It’s a refreshing way to mix up your routine and connect with nature while staying active.

Outdoor Playground
​Our outdoor playground gives kids a fun place to climb, slide, and stay active. It's a great option for member families with young children and a perfect way for kids to burn energy before or after your visit to the Y.

Parkinson's Wellness Recovery
​This specialized program includes exercises designed to improve mobility, balance, and strength for those living with Parkinson’s. Participants benefit from activities like yoga, boxing, agility drills, and cycling—all tailored to enhance quality of life.

Personal Training

Pickleball
Play America’s fastest-growing sport on our outdoor pickleball courts—free for members and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Paddles and balls are available to use, so all you need to bring is your game face.

Unwind after your workout in our dry sauna. It’s the perfect place to relax your muscles, relieve tension, and recharge your body and mind.

Wi-Fi

Youth Fitness

Benjamin Barnes YMCA
After School Care
A safe, supportive space for kids in Kindergarten through 8th grade. We provide school pickup, a healthy snack, homework help, and supervised play until 6 p.m. It’s a convenient and enriching option for working families. Learn more.

Through our partnership with the University of Alabama’s Swim to the Top program, children enrolled in Summer Day Camp receive swim lessons as part of their camp experience. It’s a fun and confidence-building way for kids to learn water safety and essential swimming skills. Learn more.
