All Members will have their temperature taken prior to check in,
and staff will also receive daily temperature checks.

Do I need to schedule an appointment to visit the Y?
You do not need to reserve a time to visit the Y wellness center.
Members will be admitted on a first-come-first-served basis.
Group exercise classes will require reservations when they open. Call 205-345-9622 to make your reservation.
Because the capacity of our facility has been reduced to adhere to safety guidelines, you may have to wait to enter the Y if we are at capacity when you arrive.
Please be patient and know that these protocols have been put in place for your safety and to accommodate as many members as possible each day.
What Should I Bring?
Please a workout towel and refillable water bottle.
Masks do not have to be worn during your workout, but we recommend wearing a mask whenever safely possible to limit the spread of germs.
Water fountains are closed at this time, so you will need to bring your own refillable water bottle. The bottle refill will be available.
Which Areas Are Closed?
Showers and steam rooms are closed.
What Amenities are Available?
Wellness Equipment (Spaced Apart for Social Distancing)
Group Exercise (Available beginning June 1st for some classes. Other classes will remain virtual)
Capacity will be limited for social distancing.
Advance reservations are required for group ex classes. Call 205-345-9622 to make your reservation.
The Y will be offering summer day camp in the weeks ahead. Additional information regarding schedules and locations will be provided soon.
Wipe Down Equipment
Use the cleaning materials provided. Wipe equipment
before and after you workout.
Keep Your Distance
Respect all signs regarding social distancing. Stay at
least six feet away from others.
Expect Reduced Capacity
At times of full capacity, you will be asked to wait in
a designated area until space is available.
Wear Your Mask
We recommend that members wear their own mask or face
covering, except during strenuous exercise.
Stay Home if You’re Sick
If you are not feeling well, please stay home. CDC and state guidelines
encourage seniors and other vulnerable populations to stay home at this time.
