More than 250 children enroll in sports programs — basketball and baseball — at the Benjamin Barnes YMCA. The gymnasium for basketball and the baseball field with covered bleachers make the Barnes Y a great place for children to learn valuable lessons in a Christian environment. The children’s participation in sports not only provides social and recreational opportunities, it also promotes good character, sportsmanship, and teamwork. The programs work in partnership with local and neighboring leagues throughout Alabama and the region. Call (205) 759-4284 for details.
